Allow blocked sites through links on myCollege

If you need to allow students to access blocked site when at school, for example, you want them to view a youtube video which is blocked at school, you can allow them to access that individual site by using the 'Add Link' option in myCollege.

The Recommended way to do this, is to add a 'Links' Component to your myCollege page

1.  On your myCollege class page, click the + button and add the 'Links' component from the resources tab

2. Once you have a Links component, you can add in your links.  Click on Add a Link

3. Copy the link of the website from the address bar.   For example, if it is a youtube video, go to the youtube video page, and copy the URL from the address bar.   It wont work if you use the 'Share' button to copy the shortened verion of the URL.

4. Fill in the details of the Link, and then click 'Add Link'

You can add many links to the same Link Component on your class page.

When your students click on these links on myCollege, they will be able to view that specific page, but without being able to click over youtube videos, unless you have put them in your links in myCollege.
