Congratulations on your new iPad!
To learn how to set it up, you can either watch the video below, or if you'd prefer, follow the steps below the video. The whole process takes about 5 minutes.
1. First, you need to reset your password. You can do this by going to changepassword.stcuthberts.school.nz
2. Turn on your iPad. Then, swipe up to begin setup.
3. Next, choose your language & country from the list, then tap “Continue”.
4. At the Quick Start section, you can choose to restore from a backup of a previous iPad, or start fresh - which is recommended. To start fresh, tap “set up manually”.
5. At the Written and Spoken Languages screen, tap “Continue”. These can be changed at any time once the iPad is set up.
6. Now, connect to your Wi-Fi network.
7. Your iPad now begins the activation process.
8. At the Data & Privacy screen, tap “Continue”.
9. At the Apps & Data screen, again you have the option to restore from a backup, but this is where you would proceed if you have a backup, but not the old device. To start fresh, tap “Don’t Transfer Apps & Data”.
10. At the Remote Management screen, tap “Next”. You will now be prompted to login with your College username & password.
11. The Face ID & Passcode screens are next. Set these up to be able to lock & unlock your iPad.
12. The next few settings are all personal preference. We tend to go through them quickly, but feel free to go slowly and read through thoroughly.
13. At the end of the setup assistant, swipe up. You will now notice the College apps start to download on to the home screen.
14. Next, open Settings > Bluetooth to begin connecting to your Brydge wireless keyboard. On the keyboard, press the power button, then the Bluetooth key. On the iPad, tap on “Brydge Pro”, then “Pair”.
You’re done! Enjoy your new iPad!
